Lourdes Ubieta is a well-known journalist, broadcaster, presenter, and businesswoman. She was born in Venezuela to exiled Cuban parents.
She has a bachelor’s degree in international studies with concentrations in marketing and communications. She has attended three universities for her education, i.e., McGill University, the University of Miami, and Universidad Central de Venezuela.
She has experience of more than 20 years in media. She also began her television career on Venezuela’s Radio Caracas Television at a very young age. She worked there from 1994 to 1998, as her LinkedIn profile mentioned.
Then, she joined Globovision as an International news analyst, but her time in the organization was brief as she moved to Televen to work as an anchor/producer and reporter.
Then, in 2006, she became a news anchor for WGEN TV. In 2009, she established Doral News with a business partner who was a well-known figure in the advertising industry. It later became a relevant community newspaper in Spanish in South Florida.
In 2017, she joined a PR Agency named Links Communications Group, where she took the role of executive director. Then, in 2020, she worked at Univision Communications Inc as a Radio Talk Show Host. However, she has resigned from the organization now.
