According to the statement given by the Police department, on June 27, Akron police officers attempted to pull over Walker as he had violated the traffic rule. In this case, when Walker did not pull over, the officers had to chase him.
The police further added, “Actions by the suspect caused the officers to perceive he posed a deadly threat to them. In response to this threat, officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect.”
However, as the situation turned, the police officers chased Jalen on foot as well and shot the black motorist releasing a barrage of bullets. Eight cops, among which seven were reported to be white, chiseled down the body of a young black guy with a surge of bullets!
The lawyer of Mr. Walker, Attorney Bobby DiCello revealed that more than 60 bullets were pounded at Jayland as he tried to run away from the officers.
After chasing him for some time, Jayland slowed his car and he stepped outside from the passenger side door as the car continued to roll forward. They added, that the officers tried to stop him using stun guns and opened fire after the stun guns failed.
