As the heroes of Port Charles attempt to thwart the diabolical plans of Victor Cassadine on “General Hospital,” the villain shot Anna Devane to make his son, Valentin Cassadine, feel the pain he felt when he believed Valentin was dead. While Valentin sits in the hospital, waiting for word on whether or not Anna survived surgery from the gunshot wound, he was happy to see Charlotte show up to offer support. Audiences were surprised to see that the part had been recast, with AnaSofia Bianchi now in the role, in a recurring status.
Bianchi was previously in “The Nanny Murders” in 2020 alongside soap stars such as Arianne Zucker, Coby Ryan McLaughlin, Maximillian Alejandro Decker, and Robert Palmer Watkins — as well as Charlotte’s original portrayer, Scarlett Fernandez. This is her first foray into soap opera land, and the thrilled actress posted on Instagram captioning “I am super excited to join the @generalhospitalabc family as Charlotte Cassadine! I am forever grateful.” Bianchi’s talent agent, Lisa Gal, also posted the good news on the Eris Talent Agency’s Instagram page, stating, “A big huge congrats to @anasofiabianchii on her recurring booking on a popular tv show!! We are thrilled for you. It was her first audition with Eris and she booked it!!”
We’re super happy for Bianchi’s big break on “GH,” and look forward to watching her career flourish!
