Bret Michaels has been rocking out with the band Poison since 1983. That’s 40 years of rocking out!
Anyone who really likes 80s rock bands knows that Bret is basically the face of Poison. But to do this, the artist behind the hit song “Custom Built” had to build a brand.
This musician has found that giving himself a crazy haircut has been a great way to stand out from the crowd and get noticed. Everyone knows Brett as the guy with the red bandana, after all. And we rarely see him without his unique hairstyle.

What Happened To Bret Michaels Hair?
Bret Michaels might have to change his look for good. The singer has been known for his long blonde hair and red bandana for almost 40 years, but that look might not work for him any longer. Why is that, though?
The truth is that he is not the same young man who stood up on stage at first. Bret’s first big break came in 1983, when he was only 20 years old. Bret is almost 57 years old, and like many other men his age, he is losing his hair.
A Hair-Line Ink story says that Bret has been able to hide his problem for so long because of his red bandana. A hair piece placed in a certain way could hide any signs of baldness. If not for good, at least for a short time.
But in the long run, you can’t hide a completely bald head with a bandana. Some people might think the answer is strange, but hair experts think it makes a lot of sense. Bret adds hair extensions to his hair as a way to keep his look from changing too much as he gets older.
Before and After Pics of Bret Michaels
Bret has been on Celebrity Apprentice and has his own reality show where he looks for love (twice). People thought he had died because his health was so bad, but now he is back on top and traveling again.
He used to be a real bad boy, but after his recent health scare, he has really changed his ways. He even got back in touch with his ex-girlfriend of 16 years (his baby mama).

Is Bret Michaels Bald Without Wig?
Rolling Stone said on February 21, 2008, that Michael is bald without a wig. We can all agree that under that bandana, he must be going bald.
He probably does a Hulk Hogan and wears his hair long around the sides to make it look like he has a full head of hair. But we have only seen him wear the bandana as a headband in a few scenes of The Rock of Love, so we think that was a wig.
Bret Michaels said in his first TV interview after being rushed to the hospital on April 21 for a brain hemorrhage that he wore his signature bandana the whole time. This was on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
