When Dr. Anthony Fauci was asked by CNN this past Sunday whether he would remain in his current position as Chief Medical Adviser at the White house should Donald Trump win the 2024 election, the infectious disease expert laughed and then said, simply, “no” (via Fox News). He elaborated on his answer by saying, “If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t optimal.”
He went on to reference the strife and friction that occurred between himself and the Trump Administration without giving specific examples, saying simply, “And I think just, history will speak for itself about that.”
While Donald Trump has not officially announced whether or not he will run for the presidency again in 2024, he has dropped hints that it may be something he is considering, and many of his supporters are hopeful he will choose to do so (via The Washington Post).
