Angel Del Villar was arrested for allegedly conspiring to violate the kingpin Narcotics act. The CFO, Luca Scalisi, of Angel’s talent agency Del Entertainment was also charged with conspiracy to transact in property of specifically designated narcotics traffickers in violation of the Kingpin Act.
According to news sources, the case involved another person named Jesus Perez Alvear and his company, Gallistica Diamante, a.k.a. Ticket Premier. They were designated as “specially designated narcotics traffickers” by the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control in 2018.
They allege that he and Gallistica Diamante acted on behalf of Mexican drug cartels by facilitating money laundering and an international pr**titution ring.
Moreover, the complaint also mentioned that FBI agents had approached a well-known musician, whose identity has not been revealed, on April 19, 2018, and explicitly told him about Perez’s designation under the Kingpin Act and how that prohibited him from conducting business with Perez and performing concerts that Perez promoted.
Nevertheless, Perez was promoting concerts for Del entertainment until the end of 2019. And the unidentified musician continued to perform in the concert organized by Perez.
Moreover, in one instance, Del Villar’s credit card was used to pay for a private jet that took him from Van Nuys Airport to the performance in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Angel made his first court appearance in downtown Los Angeles in the United States District Court. And he was released on a $100,000 bond. The dates for their arraignments have been set for July 20.
