The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie “Thor: Love & Thunder” is one of the most talked-about action-packed fantasy stories of the year. Already, the first look and trailer have created a lot of mystery and suspense about how different and unique Portman’s character, Jane Foster, is.

Natalie Portman’s ARMS steal the show in “Thor: Love and Thunder,” but fans are NOT happy.

In a recent interview with Distractify, Portman’s personal trainer Naomi Pendergast talked about the two main goals of Portman’s training for “Thor: Love & Thunder.” Pendergast said, “The first goal was to get strong and muscular, and the second was to avoid getting hurt in the process.” She told her that Natalie started training for her role as Jane in October 2020, which was four months before the movie started filming.

Naomi said that she added more plant-based protein powders to Natalie Portman’s daily meals to make sure she was getting the right amount of protein she needed to build and keep her muscles. This gave more information about the plant-based vegan meals that Natalie had since she focused on a “clean and wholesome” diet.

Naomi said that the star’s typical daily meals were “a vegan breakfast of oats and berries plus a protein shake. Her snacks would be fruit, nuts, and salads throughout the day.” She would have a vegan falafel dish for lunch, along with a protein shake, and a vegan curry with a protein shake for dinner.

Naomi said that even though Natalie doesn’t usually eat that much, she stuck to this diet plan during filming to keep the muscle she worked hard to build for the role.

Naomi said that this time, the actress had to focus on her wrists because she had to pick up and use Mjolnir. She was talking about how the actress worked out every day to prepare for the tough and difficult action scenes she had to do in the movie.

Naomi said that the hammer used in the shooting was at least three pounds heavy. She said, “This might not seem like a lot of weight, but when you hold it and swing it over and over, it puts a lot of stress on your wrist and feels like a lot of weight. I gave Natalie some wrist exercises to do every day before she went to set, based on advice from the stunt team.

Naomi talked about how much she liked working with the actress and said, “She is a real, kind, very talented, and ambitious woman. I often tell people how lucky I felt to be able to train someone so focused and hard-working. She made my job easier because she was eager to learn and worked hard to reach her goals.
